The Story in the Stone: A Multi-Layer Mosaic

Every ring is individually handcrafted using a meticulous multi-level inlay technique, creating a striking, organic contrast of textures and light:

• The Foundation (Tyndall Limestone Bedrock): The dark, matte bedrock of the ring’s channel is formed from crushed local limestone. It mirrors the foundational stonework of the Parliament buildings, providing a deep, solid grey floor.

• The Peaks (Ottawa Valley River Quartz): Sourced locally from the historic riverwash beds of the Ottawa Valley, pure white quartz pebbles are crushed into jagged, glassy crystals. Embedded like brilliant islands rising from the limestone, these crystalline structures catch and fracture the daylight.

• The Patina (The Bronze-Green Glow): Framing each quartz crystal is a proprietary inlay of glowing green pigments and metallic bronze mica ($80/20$ mix). This mimics the natural, historic aging of Parliament’s copper roofs. By day, it shows a subtle, weathered-copper trim. By night, it transforms into vivid, glowing veins of energy.

Because the Ottawa Valley quartz is naturally translucent, it acts as a geometric prism. In the dark, the green glow from the base of the channel shoots upward through the white crystals, making the stone mosaic look fiercely alive—as if illuminated by the spirit of the city itself.
